Exhaust Emissions Light, What Now? Help!
« on: 12 March 2010, 19:01 »
I bought a 25th Anniversary 180 about a year ago, for months now the engine managment light has been on, also known as the exhaust emissions warning light. I had the car on the computer at VW and a local garage, they both said its the sensor on the exhaust, there are actually 2 which I have replaced twice now but still the light re-appears 2 days later. Anyone any ideas why it would be doing this? Also when driving when I lift off the car judders, only when I release the throttle though. Hope someone can help.

hi mate i was told the same thing by a garage on my 1.8t too but ive bought my own code reader and the code that came up is to do with loss of pressure from the turbo to the throtle valve my light was on also but turned it off with the reader maybe thats why ur getting judders with the throtle :undecided:

which sensors ? what codes you got or what did the code say ? just cos sensor comes up on scanner doesnt mean thats the fault , which is why the fault keeps reappearing !
