Audi TT intercooler venting... ?

Anyone heard of or done this little tweak to their arch liner?

Can also be done for free with a stanley knife, a hair dryer and some spare time

Our intercooler is coming off soon for a clean out, so will be having a go then!

Don't know what if any the gains will be (+0.05bhp perhaps  ), but makes a lot of sense in terms of intercooler air flow. 
Yet another simple & sensible tweak the Audis seem to have and not VW....

A mod thats been around for quite a bit.  I cant see any disadvantage to it at all, so i would say got for it mate.
I was going to do this but ended up 1 ripping the iner arce off then the bumper was off and 2 i put a FMIC on in the end

You can buy an arch liner with the vent built in now. It's used on the Canadian mk4.5 (facelift model)

Looks neat, but I'd just get the Stanley on the original one if I were doing it again
