Buying a mk2 16V :o

its a white 1 though :(, 3 door, fully loaded :D

anyway the thing is, if i get this car then then im gonna have to respray it, what are peoples thoughts on a resprayed car?

and if i stuck with this idea and got the golf, some serious engine mods would be order of the day :D

ive always wanted to do the VR6 conversion, and this car in particular would be the perfect bast for it.

so what do yall think?

im in two minds, maybe ill get this mk2 and be up sh!t creek because ill really want a corrado.

all your thoughts would be very much appreciated guys. ;)

I used to think that a re-sprayed car was a nightmare, but now that I've got mine and it's had some paint and bodywork done etc my mind has been changed, as long as the work is good then a respray is no problem. I think you should wait and go for the raddo because if you don't now then you wont for ages, just my opinion.  :) Anyways, I thought VR6 engines were supposed to be too heavy for mk2s  ???
......now officially dubless.

if you really want a corrado i'd wait and get one otherwise you'll end up spending all your cash getting a conversion done when you can really get what you want by waiting for the right corrado to come up.

but if you really want a vr6'd mk 2 then it may be worth getting this one. have a good think either way or you'll kick yourself later on down the line.

When I was looking for the golf I seriously considered a rado but when I asked people on here they told me to stick to what I really wanted, I'm glad I did now once I found the right car. If you really want a rado find one and go for it.
As for changing the colour of a car, unless you are doing a complete stripdown/engine out colour change don't bother. If you do half a job those different colour areas e.g. engine bay, under the boot carpet etc etc will always bug you. Start out with the colour you want in the first place.

You got any pics of your dad's split ?
