not the lambda sensor?
« on: 03 November 2004, 20:56 »
well after everything i had done to the car last week, it "died" again on saturday. found out it was the starter motor, and had it replaced today!
thing is..it is runnin spot on now, no juddering or anything, so it seems like it wasnt the lambda sensor after all :D

Um now i'm confused - How can it be the Starter Motor!!!!!

The starter has its own dedicated circuit that has nothing to do with the running of the engine.

Thought your problem was whilst driving?

It seems odd to me as well, but, electrickery is very funny stuff and is inherantly lazy.  There might have been an intermittant short circuit inside the starter motor that pulled the supply down sufficiently to cause the misfire.

Well personally i cant see how that affected your car in the way you described.
Any sensor on the solenoid would only be active during start up. Would have no function at any other time.
So just cant figure it!

Think we was misled a bit here.
