I will hand it over to the dealer although I am still puzzled by this sentence: "....the roof will close automatically AFTER 24 HOURS..."
By that time I can probably swim towards my car 

i assume it closers either when rain is sensed, or if left open it will close after 24 hours even inside a garage.

the "staging" feature is an adaption setting in the instrument module. should be obvious what to do from there

...a sunroof is a blessing...if you are tired of hearing the birds you can concentrate on your engine noise......best sound ever.. .

I drive nearly whole year through with an open roof so the risk of leaving it open increases....

My wife left it open on the MK V say 3 times when shortly afterwards it started raining....you will not believe how your car looks like the next morning....so an automatic roof-closing is nearly a must... .

BTW...in the end I was glad that she left it open....it gave me no discussions when I ordered leather.... ......

Hence did not order sunroof. I can be logical!

BTW: Saw a Golf with the flippers. A white one. Looked just like what our birds do!
