Sure sign of a vac leak mate, get checking those pipes.Mine is 100% leak free and sits just below 20hg on tickover and will pull almost 24 on a downchange.

A healthy car should sit at 20 or less hg.

Yes,as long as your gauge is reading zero when the engine is turned off.
As for revs,i've never tested it at idle but mine pulls strong right up to 7000rpm while driving

Yeah sits bang on ZERO , and mine pulls to 7000 when driving so i'll stop worrying about it, i did replace the vac pipe from the FPR to the inlet manifold and the one next to it so im happy now as i got rid of those rotten old over braid vac pipes.

Well TBH all i can tell you is it had an ECU chip fitted back in 2005 i only know this as i have a recipte in the paper work i got with the car, i phonned the company who did it and he told me after a bit of a chat that it would have been up to 195 bhp.
I have fitted a Milltek cat back system, but i have never had it on the R/R, i will do though one day soon

Strange me and Rich have the same reading though? Might rig my digital vac/pressure gauge up from work and get a really acccurate reading instead of a mechanical gauge and see what it all comes back with
