Audi oil temp sensor
« on: 07 March 2010, 13:30 »
Noticed the oil temp was a little low so decided to change from my t-piece setup (for the vdo gauges) and just stick the vw sensor back in there. However, whilst doing this have managed to break the vw temp sensor so is now the audi sensor in the top of the oil cooler, the one that gives reading to the oil temp gauge.

Does anyone know if the reading from this gauge will be correct (it's leading to the mfa) as it's still low. Was idling for 20 mins and it only got up to 66.

if its the blue coloured sender for an Audi VDO gauge then yeah, it wont read correctly as its the wrong rating. need to get a white coloured one :)
