Wheel Spacers

Hi just on the brink of buying some audi rims...

I have a P reg GTI with the big vr6 brakes..

i think i will need spacers on the fronts to clear the calipers....

any idea where to get the spacers from??

Halfords (ripspeed)???  :undecided:

or Venom (FK)???

Or Others??

They're 16's with an offset of ET42

My VR6 BBS's are 15's with an offset of ET43.. pity I have to sell them.

I kno, but the guy test fitted them to his Vr6 and was just catchin the calipers on the inside of the spokes...

So I' will test fit them myself and if needed its a trip tp halfords :afro:

Because Mk4/A3 288s sit 6mm further in than Mk3 288s...so most Mk4/A3 wheels will hit the callipers on a Mk3 - expecially when the brake pads are new.

A 3mm spacer will sort things.

It's the the offset that's the issue, but the back-cut on the spokes of the wheels.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Will test them first and then fit 3mm spacers from halfrauds. :afro:

Makes sense mate. My knowledge of newer cars is quite limited, I've only ever owned Mk1's, Mk2's and Mk3's.
