Unfortunatley i have that same problem and probs why i still have the crappy wooden look trim.

the wood strips just come off though - no need to remove and swap your radio cage  :huh:

looks good mate, ive just recently took off mine and covered it in brushed stainless steel effect vinyl , actually looks exactly the same as yours , il get some pics up soon too :smiley:

things done in the last few months - new temp sensor / new gearbox oil / anni matts / painted interior trim / debadged /
things to do - refurb wheels-satin black / coilovers / paint headlights internals black / fit fmic / 3" turbo back / stg2 remap

Looking good, i too went for net optic. Prefer it to stainless look.
