I'm only guessing Mate but I would say no. If you remove the plastic cover inside the car there should be (usually) three screws/bolts that hold the mirror on and a connector to undo if it's electric mirror.      Cheers     Deano

no need to remove the door card, just pop the cover on the inside, where the mirror goes to, triangular shaped one.

To take the mirror's casing off just fold the mirror in and there is a clip there, screwdriver to push clip down and then the casing comes off with some wiggling and pulling, don't go too rough cos you will break the clips on the inside off.

No need to remove the door card.

Take off the plastic cover, and there will be 3 screws. Undo them and pull the mirror out.

right i've had a look, taken the cover off and come across 2 problems. one of the screws is too far at the bottom and can't really get to it with a screwdriver and also my wiring block/connector seems to be in the door card?

Yeah, forgot to mention that the bottom screw is a bit tricky to take out, but I managed to do it on mine without removing the door card.

If your mirrors are electric, you could try pulling the cable out from the door card and try to disconnect it from the plug.

If they are manual, then the only way would be to remove the door card.

Door car needs to come off, easy enough to sort however.
