had a similar problem with Freelander 2  -  when using remote to lock or unlock the doors, the windows would also go down  -  bizarre and a bit spooky -  can't remember what the problem was but it was easily fixed on the warranty....quite a few niggles out there with new arrivals...

OMG, that is all we need.
We wait forever to get the car.
Then it does things we don't want it to do.
Drives us crazy.
Divorce ensues due to stress.
Car still with us but without the significant other!
Life is so much better with a Golf!

I had an Alfa whose electrics went mad just once.
The sunroof kept opening and closing without any help, the electric seats kept moving on their own, the central locking went crazy, the alarm kept going on and off even when I was driving, the indicators and lights had a mind of their own , the boot kept opening unnecessarily .... what a 'mare!

And then, all this stopped and it was the most reliable car I have ever owned!  Wierd.
I guess you got this done

Excellent support from you. Most grateful.
Now I know what to do.
Was out of my mind when it happened!
I wish I had known you then. Would have been a big boon!

Still don't feel quite normal after that experience!

Is there not a way of turning off this somehow? If hitting the button is the reason its happened.

Just to let you know that i had my car in this morning, just picked it up now. Well lo and behold they couldn't find a fault, they said it was most likely down to me holdong the button which i think it could of been and it hasn't happened since. Any way ive turned off the option for the windows to come down if you hold the unlock button via the MFD, so if it does happen again then i'll know it's not that. On a lighter note, they fixed a rattle that was coming from the passenger side somewhere, it's been irritating me for 6 month

All nice and quiet now
