throttle cable issues

hi guys.   
my accelerator cable keeps slipping out of its little
holder on the side of the carb, and when i put it back in,
it makes the accelerator pedal really light, anyone else had
this problem, or any quick fix suggestions?

there should be a square clip that holds it in place, have a look in the scrappy at various VWs andf you might get lucky!
