Im, 25 y/o (just), 3 years license and 3 years no claims and 0 points.

Live in an average area, street parking, 8000 miles pa, used for commuting.

8v GTI, quoted around £580 fully comp with elephant w/ a £250 excess. Sound fair?

I did that with someone with 9years NCB & 15 years driving experience and it came down by £10

I think that quote is a bit too expensive really imo, £250 excess aswell, what's the point?

Think you can get a better deal if you add some named drivers, brought mine down LOADS and its completely legal as I am the main policy holder.

Try Heritage insurance, i have mine on a limited mileage policy and pay £120, would expect them to beat your quote for sure

That's pretty good, I'm 21 1 yrs NCB, 1 at fault and 1 non fault crash paying £715 on an 8v. A lot better than the £1800 I paid last year
