Headlight shop and advice :)
« on: 01 March 2010, 21:09 »
Hi all, looking to fit new head and maybe tail lights on my mk3.

I have the single bulb H4 headlights (1992 CL) and was wondering if anyone could reccomend ggod lights to replace these, im looking for something that looks good mainly :D

Also thinking of swapping out the tail lights with an LED version.

Are these "easy" jobs or should I find a garage to do the work?

Only mod I have preformed so far, aside from alloys, is a Stebel Horn :)

Cheers!

Easy to change.

Hehe any details? Im guessing its just a case of unscrewing the old units and screwing in the new ones? :)

My google-fu is weak tonight as I cannot find anywhere selling angel eyes for a mk3 :(

To change the front lights..
- Remove the grill (4 clips along the top, 1 clip under each headlight)
- Disconnect wiring plug from back of headlight
- Undo the 4 8mm bolts holding the light on
Simple as that

To change the rear lights..
- I find it easiest to remove the bulb holder first which is clipped into place with two clips
- Undo the 4 8mm bolts holding the light on
Also rather simple

Regarding headlights.. try venom motorsport, or ebay
