Looks fooking good! Maybe I will keep mine, for special occassions!

Don't like the sides though! They sit flat, whereas mine sorta flare outwards?

Can see in this pic what I mean..

Don't know if Kells' is the same, or whether mine's bent outwards like that over time?

heh got mine today aswelll as promised.

Does look ok but if you look carefully (I'm been abit picky here lol) where the filling gates are... there are 2 weld-lines in the plastic, this is caused by a badly designed tool, I hope this weldline can be buffed out... apart from that they look ok. gunna fit mine at work sometime.....

Thats if i figure out how the heck the old splitter comes off.... I've tried pulling it and it wont budge lol... I dont wanna brake off the lugs/clips either

you lost me on the first bit!.....

as for getting old one off it wont just pull off, you have to push the clips up then pull!
my old gti one was a right pain! had to get my head under there and push clips out with a flathead
screwdriver! some there might also be some bolts but never had them on mine.

lol right - cheers drew.

and about them weld lines lol..... look closely at the splitter... you will find 1 (dull straight line about 6cm long) on each side of the splitter.... this is a weldline (where 2 filling gates are used to put the plastic into the mould to make the splitter) Make sense??....

Anyway when the plastic from the 2 gates meet it causes a weldline... Obvioulsy the quality control where it was made has let this go, but VW wouldnt. and to rectify the problem more heat in the tool and a faster flow of plastic (or tool redesign) will sort it.

I am a plastic moulding technician.... :afro:

But apart from my pickyness..... they look good :afro:

Ah I'm really glad eveyones saying the sides are fitting ok. That last one I had I had to run screws through it and when it smashed it tore off the splash guards they were connected to.
