Got mine today! I think the picture of them bending the splitter is exaggerated, feels slightly stronger than the cheapo ebay ones tho, so I dunno only time will tell how good it really is.

Basically, nothing will ever beat the £70-£80 ORIGINAL SPLITTER from VW

Coincidentally I just turned the laptop on to say I've recieved mine.

You say nothing will ever beat the genuine one, but have you actually owned one??

This seriously does come close. It's pretty good quality, it's actually black (not grey), and feels as strong as a genuine one..

I'm impressed with it and may put it on my car for an hour or so to see how it lasts. If it doesn't break on my car it should be fine on everyone elses car (cus you're all at standard ride height.. although saying that you're all blind b*stards and keep kitting kerbs )

Im lowered 60mil, and hit most speed bumps so have to take it in a certain angle ... and your right, its actually solid I went out and fitted it, every clip slots in (took a while to get it in) and I had to stress the splitter to remove it at one point, thinking it would snap but it didn't!! so I take back my comment, for £20 this is the BEST of the BEST.

I don't understand people who go over speedbumps at an angle???

I'm down 120mm and just hit them head on

Well my sump scrapes like a son of a b!tch, the splitter might clear the bump, but going in a angle helps the bottom of the sump or the middle exhaust clear it ...

Which type of speed bumps are you referring to?

I have a funny feeling you're talking about the stupid little square ones in the middle of the road? Rather than the ones that go the whole way across the road

The ones that go the whole way across the road are ok, my splitter scrapes and nothing else.
The little square ones, whole different story, can't go over at an angle or straight over them! Splitter, downpipe, probably the subframe, the whole exhaust lol, probably the rear axle too
