adjustable headlamps???

My light switch has a roller button on it for levelling headlamps. The question is, will this have any affect on my standard gti headlamps?(havent fitted yet) Or is this switch for a better equipped model such as a vr6 highline?

if its there as standard with the origional headlights it should work
