Some nice ideas plz

Well finally got round to cleaning the gti lol, looks superb in black :afro:... Got the plastic arches etc blackened with boiled linseed oil... works great.. and finally got my Exhaust banging sorted... looks and sounds soooooooo nice now.. got standard longbeach rims on... want to change them to something better thats not going to rub..... I'm also thinking of lowering it 60mm.. Dont wanna gooo tooooo low as i use it daily. Any ideas welcome... ohh and i'll post up some pics sooon.

Anyone got any nice rims for sale, in good condition give me a PM...

just out of intrest...what did you do to stop the exhaust rattle? i can only cure my for 2 days and it comes back!

not 100% sure on the exhaust as i took it to a garage to refit it.... all i know that it was hitting the floor of the car just above the rear axle. It started doing it again today so i took it back and they moved it again. they said it cant go any further and it will be ok now. I am hoping it will be anyway  :grin:

and black looks the nuts :afro:

This is a pic of my old motor with 17's on



The car was down 40mm all round and I never suffered with any rubbing issues, even with 4 people in an a load of luggage in.

If you're going to drop 60mm, you may need some arch work if you go for this size wheel  :undecided:

The wheels are BSA livewires. I think they would look very  :cool: on a black car  :wink:

I'd say keep the standard 15's....but refurb them in white :shocked: :wink:
