« on: 23 February 2010, 23:19 »
1. What engine do i have? been told its a 2l 8v 2E engine, an AGG but it has WWO stamped on the block?

2. What is this hose for, its ripped to f**k, and do i actually need it? i think its a recirculation hose, but again im not sure.

Thanks in advance.

its a 2e, certainly if its a 93 car or older

pipe is what you say, just replace with some tubing you can buy at halfords or similar, no biggie

That's a Mk3 engine in a Mk2 but the OP may have used that pic because it shows the hot air feed(?) quite well.

The pipe diameter shouldn't matter I wouldn't have thought, all it does is takes hot air from the exhaust manifold and into the airbox I think?? I removed mine :)

I agree, looks like a PB digifant engine to me as well apart from the later mk3 breather / rocker cover.
