Door Sill Steel Trims & Steel Boot Sill Protector

I am trying to find some pictures of these 'Retailer Supplied Accessories'.
I am going to fit the steel sill trims but I am not too sure of the steel boot protector. My dealer says it shows even with the hatch is closed.
These items are quite expensive, but I think they will 'finish' the car off quite nicely.
Your help will be most appreciated.

I didn't choose them for the look - I hope they serve to protect the paintwork when dragging cases out of the boot and the door sills if shoes hit them

That is right. The one I was considering was in steel.
So the dealer was correct about the visibility of the boot sill protector.
I will just have the door sill steel trims fitted.

The door sill steel trims are not visible when the doors are closed unlike the boot sill protector.
There is also a clear film boot sill protector available. I will go for this instead for the boot and the steel trims for the doors.

Don't you think steel would be better?  And what if some rubbish gets stuck underneath?  Are you really really sure about this?

I will pop down to my dealer next week, but as he is a good hour away was wondering if anyone who has seen the brochure knows if there are side and back window blinds available?

Can this be fitted afterwards...If yes I found another option to my liking 

A pic of the steel one would be more than welcome...I myself would not go for some sort of plastic. ..I think steel is the way to go if it has to be functional 

BTW I am doing my utmost to get my car with as little plastic as possible
