Steve, hope you don't mind me butting into your thread?
My questions seem to continue on and be the same as yours except mines on a dark blue metallic car. :undecided:

As im a huge novice to detailing i would like some advice for a
brand new mk6 dark blue shadow blue metallic GTI that im picking up next week or the week after.

I will have 250miles of motorway grime on it before i get home. So i guess snow foam, 2 bucket method, microfiber towel drying, then polish, seal, wax as shown in the FAQ section. :undecided:

Due to the different colour will the product choices you guys reccomend be different to what you recomended to Steve?

Can someone list everything i really need to do detailing on a brand new dark metallic properly?

I want to start on the right path with this car,
I have good practical skills so can turn my hand to just about anything if i have a clue what im doing that is.

Help!
Snoopy it not a problem mate, looking at your method it seems like your going to do a better job than me my friend!! I always use colinite its amazing stuff and last for months , by the way dont forget 109 selent its very good.

I guess it depends on the weather when you pick your car up Snoopy, If i was in your shoes I would ask them to leave the car's paintwork alone do not touch it or clean it and leave factory wax on it and do it at your own home when you get in?? I do not let dealerships any where near the paint work , much prefer to do the job myself also i really enjoy detailing car's. It hard graft though beleaf me !! Enjoy Steve
