bodywork needs a fettle
« on: 17 February 2010, 02:32 »
hi all
just wondering if anyone can give me some good advice?? ive had my mk3 8v gti now since november & ive finally got it mechanically sound,so now the bodywork requires a little tlc,the bonnet & n/s wing with the looks of it have just been touched up with a spray can & no prep work the wing has a run mark on it where it appears he got a little too close with the can,& the rear quater looks as though it had the last bit in the can flung on it so all the said panels are patchy & faded i dont want to spend silly amounts on it(i.e. respray) so can someone tell me what it would take & the approx cost to get the car gleaming again plz.

LOL, I would not mind reading some replies as well, I have similar issues with mine, although I don't think there is much of a fix, other than a respray to get it proper proper again.

im being told from a mate who used to do bodywork,to get some proffesional cutting paste & then use some finishing liquid & he is quite confident it will do the job!!! :undecided:
