the rep bumper has gloss grilles instead of matt

^^^ I might get a rep one, then... save me a painting job!

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?

Dont understand making a car look like something it isnt? Wouldnt the £250 of the grill be better spent on insurance towards a proper GTI?

Yes, It would be, however, I am 18 with an MK5 1.6 Golf and thats enough for me at this time. If I was around 21+ I would have got a GTI.

But since im only 18... a conversion will do, im lucky to have this car at 18 and a GTI would cost its price in insurance or unsurable.

Why not save the money for when you are 21? Seems a waste when it will add no value and most likely deter people when you sell?

That way you could get something better than a GTI when you are 21?

I didnt plan on getting a golf :P

All my family grouped together and brought it for my 18th, I can really say "i dont want it now, but can i have the money, to save for a gti at 21" :P

I am happy and very lucky to have such a good car at my age.
I got the bumper as I love the look of the GTI and makes my car look a bit more beefy, rather than the standard one.

I have the standard bumper in the garage so will put it on if I sell, and sell the conversion bumper off.

Leave Evoss alone, as long as he takes the GTI badge off the front I cant see the problem, looks much better with that front on it. Being 18 he has NO chance of a GTI (insurance). At 18 I had a 93' Clio so fair play to him

Any chance of some photos? Would love to see how you got on.

I don't think he has made it look like something it's not.
It's not badged GTI...has no skirts and different wheels.

So what if people like the design of the bumper?
Fair play, I say...

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.
