« on: 14 February 2010, 11:24 »

Thats an almost impossible question for anyone to answer! you have to take a look at previous work carried out by the people that you have in mind, and would you be happy with the standard of work that they do! 2k doesn't sound enough to me....

aswell things to consider is how much rot is needing to be stripped back before they can actually weld to good, as it can be quite labour intensive!

guess i'll just get the welding done and go from there but its catch 22 as it will need spraying after theyve welded it but there no point them spraying it if im going to have a full respray in a diff colour  :undecided:

I got quoted 2.2K to spray mine except the roof and tailgate. This included all rust sorted and arches rolled.

I reckon thats cheap even by up north standards....i got quoted around £1200 for bonnet, front bumper, offside door and the rear bumper smoothed and painted...thats to dealership quality (merc/bmw/vw) but a local place i've used previously is a little less...but unsure about the smoothing quality.

Either way good luck
