I think there was someone selling some RAs refurbed at Lepsons, and the phrase "better than new" was used at some point, think he said he paid about £250-300 for that refurb (he was selling them for £350)

I have literally just got my 15" RAs back from a refurb - you are looking at about £200 minimum for all four to be repowder coated by a reputable place.  Worth shopping around a bit though as there is quite a big variance in price, ie some exclude VAT, some charge extra for removing/refitting the tyres, some places even offer you a set of replacement rims while yours are refurbed, etc.

BTW if you want it to last go for powder coating every time, none of this painting the face of the wheel crap, that way they will come back looking like new.

Just another thought, RAs are quite intricate with the narrow spaces between spokes so don't entrust a cowboy with your wheels, as they'll never get a desent level of powder coverage in the arkward places.  Make sure they are up to the task before you part with your cash!

I have Goodyear Eagle F1's on mine (195/50/15) and they are outstanding.  I usually buy them from here http://www.mytyres.co.uk/ and get them fitted locally.  As I recall they were about £50 a corner last summer.  Not the cheapest, and a softer compound than some, but I think they offer excellent value for money and know a lot of people on here rate them.

sorry guys, hit the wrong key, should be 15", sorry for the confusion.

For the people requesting a price for the alloys to be refurbed they cost me £30 a rim, shotblasted, powder coated and painted, thats cheap at £120 a set, had prices upto £50 a corner thou.

They look fantastic though and well worth the money, really finish a project off in my opinion.

thanks for the advice
