Its either the inner seal or the molly grease is fooked. On my out cv the grease was more like oil but inner was fine so... hmm!?

Thanks lads. Just 2 questions:

1) will i need to drain the gearbox before doing any of this?

2) Where will I get the spine tool to get the drive shaft off?

if you jack car up on drivers side only then i dont think you'll need to drain oil

the spline tool can be got from any decent motor factors however if you look on the link you will need summat to release spring pressure on the flange to remove circlip

Yeah had a read through it. Somebody on here must have changed one. I would be interested to know what they used to release the tension on spring?
