Just read your post Meister,

Ive had no tinterweb for a week and got it all sorted today and
WTF !! and from a dealer aswell, could understand from a back street dealer? why didnt they spot anything on the pdi ? (i think Gilly must of pre owned that car  :laugh:)

Good result in the end thou  :wink:

Glad of the outcome for you, but i would not be complimenting the dealer. They got found out.
Exactly what are they checking for under the "vw approved scheme" - all these faults would/ should have been picked up.
It sounds to me that the dealer was trying to pull a fast one, and got their fingers burnt. Hence it was being sold at a great price.
GTI 30 Edition, Reflex Silver, MFSW, Xenons, cruise, iPod & armrest.....and a tank full of 99 octane

I think we are being a bit harsh on the dealer .. yes they made a mistake in taking the car in and then selling it but they could have done no more once it was highlighted to them


If anything this story demonstrates exactly why you should by under the approved scheme (If you are not confident in your own abilities) had it been almost any other garage or private seller the op would be looking pretty miserable now.

Hang on! Exactly how was it approved??? i'm sure someone at vw "should" have given this car a good going over for it to be classed as approved! if this has happened then that person should lose their job!
It's true that the dealer has done a good thing by sorting the guy out with a new car BUT this car should never have been sold in that condition in the first place!
Are you a dealer by any chance?
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

yeah... thank fully all is well again. Just waiting for some nice dry weather and then its time to put the 19" on and get through some of that nice Eagle F1 rubber  :evil:

Maybe even get the Revo settings adjusted also for good measure!! :cool:
