QESTION TIME ?
« on: 09 February 2010, 21:44 »
hi all

Just a fue questions which I have

1. oks i ve had my engine cover off today to clean some oil up, and i nosiest that someone [probably the last owner] has replaced a pipe which i think goes from my engine to the air box with a piece of garden hose.

What is the part number?
Were can i get it from?
How much?
And what dose this pipe do?

2. What is this part for? [Silver pipe with the bit coming off it]

3. on the Golf mk4 TDi SE engine cover it has three 10mm bolts which hold it down,  the back ones missing is there a part number or is it best to get one from the scrappy ? or would it be best just to replace the hole cover

No1 looks like a breather pipe.
No2 looks like part of the air con pipework where you discharge/recharge the gases.
