Chris I took my PAS pipe over the front mount and it sits nice there and then cable tied the rest to the slam pannel its much safer and neat instead of it hanging near bottom of the bumper?
Jay

Looking good though!

i see what you mean but the section of pipe leaving the reservoir is cable tied to the cross member, then it runs through the triangulated mid section of the front cross member (rad support) so the centre is secure and protected, and the last piece to the pump wont move. it sits higher than the base of the pump, the VR6 lump sits low anyway

i think the pic is misleading, it seams to dangle lower than the pump which isnt the case. plus its not floppy (oo-err!)

i know it could be neater routing it behind the lower section of radiator/across the top of the cross member BUT i was a bit time constrained on saturday

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Yeah you know what you're doing fella. I sometimes forget you have a VR6 in there, the clearance is proberly better than mine, but I've got one inch from spliter to floor too low for any dangling pipes

its a standard mk2 cross member now from a scrap mk2, cleaned up and hammerited. fitted a solid mount as sold by Duff on mk2vr6.com

http://mk2vr6.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4325

theyre £50 and fit beautifully. i copper slipped the bolts (didnt loctite them), but checked today and they havent worked loose at all.

the original crossmember was a mk2 with the centre of a mk3 crossmember welded in, and a chopped down mk3 front mount. it didnt line up right cos i had a job getting 5th gear, and on hard left turns the auxillary pulleys rubbed the chassis leg.

Exhaust noise:

only a short vid as neighbours might not appreciate it  :lipsrsealed:

Its now runner hotter as the low temp thermostat was causing it to run at 70 degrees. With a new stat it now sits at 80 degrees and seems to warm up quicker. Should be slightly better on fuel now!

Also butchered a fuel flap (from tony_ack, thanks!) for its locking pin and plate, prised it off and stuck it to my fuel flap
