not really worth posting except to say that uprated headlamp looms are the BEST THING EVER!

going from 9v to 12v at the plugs is awesome.... i can now see at night again! just did an 80 mile round trip and besides the headache from the noise, hitting a pothole and going through a ford, it was a pleasure to drive

I don't think a semi will give the same results

lol jimp you joke but i was bricking it, i didnt know how deep it was  :lipsrsealed:

All the cables were wrapped after that previous pic, plus a section was covered in the orange conduit i've still got knocking around

the only thing i now need is a little box to pop the relays in to weatherproof them  as at the mo they're stuck together with electrical tape and stuck to the inner wing...

Tupperware box works well. Use a soldering iron to make holes either side, hot melt glue to reseal and the lid of the tupperware opens easily to give access. Mate used to do it on his rally mk2 escorts. Now all you have to do is find and orange tupperware box

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

plastic primer, orange paint.... job done methinks!

right then.

to preserve the life of the relays i grabbed a consumables box from work which is large enough for 2 relays (with built-in fuses) and the spade connectors from the wiring loom.

plan is to spray it satin black and obviously fit some grommets around the holes. the box is water proof around 3/4 sides. the hinged base is splash proof. I have another one too, unprepped, if anyone wants it for the price of postage? big enough for two standard relays.

Also I spotted that LL is starting to sell headlight tint film, so i've been toying with various ideas on GIMP this evening  :nerd: this is an old photo, but a 4 lamp grill will be going back on soon.

Light smoke:

Dark smoke:

Orange:

Yellow:

whaddya reckon?
