A few piccies, nothing much

New solid front engine mount for mk2 crossmember to mk3 vr6:

Scrappy front crossmember (and a dopey doggy!):

Its nice and solid, most of the original paint is perfect but felt like it needed tarting up. "In for a penny..."

Crossmember rubbed back for hammerite, trial fit of new engine mount:

Luckily i have a mrs who likes painting... so i expect it painted by 5.30 tomorrow!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

When I built a 50cc motorbike when I was 15 I put the crank cases in the oven :lipsrsealed: My mum wasn't too impressed!

House smelt of oil for a while but I didn't see any other downsides at the time (having never used a cooker for actual cooking, I neglected the fact it should be hygenic )

painted the lower crossmember:

mmmm i love hammerite

my new febi bilstein crossmember bushes arrived today, getting them pressed into the crossmember tomorrow.

A couple more pics of the new (pattern) bumper, freshly painted:

The elusive front panel, has been prepped and now needs primer & paint:

Half way through making my uprated headlamp loom:

And a terrible photo of the car

luckily her-in-doors doesnt moan too much, except when i blame her for losing my soldering iron (which she hadnt, as it turns out  :lipsrsealed:)

All thats left to do on the loom is trial fit it (so i can work out wire lengths on the earths, they have no ring terminals on for a minute... i want the wire lengths exact) and bind the loom/relays up with tape:

trial fit tomorrow afternoon, hopefully i wont fry anything!
