-0.5 is what I run on any car I drive on the road enthusiastically.

Ask Nick whether the Polo's wearing its tyres evenly - that's what that was set up to when it got the new suspension on it.

thanks DH will do :afro:

it handles great anyway on the weitecs (even with the lump hammer characteristics of a mk2 vr6) but im up for any improvements

This afternoon I played about with the position of the MAF sensor as it was rubbing against the terminal block and a HT lead:

Got an aluminium joiner and got it like so, tolerances are very tight but nothing is fouling now:

Also found out why it sometime stank of burning oil, the breather pipe coming out of the rocker cover to air intake pipe was loose, it had lost its jubilee clip so oil was blowing onto the manifold

Get some alloy plate and put a shield around the back of that cone filter.  This will mean it's actually getting cold air, instead of the hot stuff in the engine bay.

You *could* search out a Toledo ABF filter housing, which might serve you better than the poxy cone.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

the poxy cone was £10 and better than the old K&N cone which had holes in it  :lipsrsealed:

heatshield is on the to-do list

I had an idea to introduce more green to the car... wasnt impressed with the photoshopped outcome:

  nooooononono.

So i tried something more subtle:

   i think i'll be getting some green stripes

Also i invested in a new 4 lamp red stripe grill, for those more incogneto moments...

  • If I can't fix it at home, it ain't getting fixed.
I love the orange.... the grille looks likes something missing in the pics... you could try getting a single headlamp grille???

its missing the inner slats, it has mesh instead. i have already painted the stripe green, but wondered if a matching pinstripe down the sides would suit the car.

Im not sure many are a fan of that grill tho, hence i picked up a cheap (new) 4 lamp gti grill yesterday

yeah i commented on the cheapness of the new grille somewhere else on here, how come so cheap? Something green down the side might help!??  I think it was the mesh that didnt go with everything else.
