Maybe I'll spend the money on a 1.6 driver instead and put a big sticker on the windscreen to bring it up to 16v spec.

Cheers.

Gee That got Persional.....Dont get me wrong, I wasnt trying to sound Insulting, I was just trying to pass my knollege about nitrous on.

was funny though,
as for the kit do it, but only if your confident that the engine is perfect, but then again braking things is not fun but nessicary to learn or we'ed all be driving standard cars and planning the next service for the reliabilty chart!

Oh, so NOS is not technically right. However, nitrous isn't either it's nitrous oxide. I really wanted a big red button, ideally on gear knob, but now you point out there isn't one I'm going off the idea!

Maybe I'll spend the money on a 1.6 driver instead and put a big sticker on the windscreen to bring it up to 16v spec.

Cheers.

you stroppy sh!t!  >:( you obviously read fielders reply as an attack on your question but i didn't read it that way. you asked a question and he answered with the information he had, just cos you didn't like it theres no need to slag his car off. he never said a sticker was gonna make his car faster did he?
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

The white sticker was put on as part of a deal to get my alloys for a discounted price, But oh well, Maybe it did sound a little preachy, But if he gets up-tight about it, its his problem. While writing that thread i was on the phone to the Owner of beespoke as he was asking me which year had the digifant induction on a 8V Gti, While there i was KIND enaugh to pass his question on to the owner of Beespoke, Maybe next time ill think twice about being helpfull.

Just like to point out that my friend has a modified 1.6 driver and although he doesnt have an oz racer sticker on his windscreen, he got some significantly discounted pioneer ICE for advertising them on his rear window? ;)?
Dont think the sticker makes his car go any faster but I think the big red Nitrous oxide button hes running may have something to do with his crazy speeds.? He got his Bespoke kit for ?2k for a full kit, with progressive controller and 6lb bottle - fitted.
He eats VR6s for breakfast! So why pay the extra insurance and running costs of a VR6 when u dont need to?? His car has done over 30,000 miles with the nitrous oxide kit on with no significant problems other than the usual wear and tear.? So if you want a Nitrous Oxide kit on your mk2 my advise to you is "Go for it".? :P ;D

I dont want to piss any body off and i dont know lots but isnt the idea of modifiying to make it go faster handle better and look better? Even if it breaks thats part of the fun! Just replace the part with a better one! Thats my motto. I would put nitros on a 1.0 micra, cos hey it would be fun! who cares if the engine blows its only a car! And look at the big smile on your face from doing it! cmon people cant we all just get along.

At the end of the day half of us could never afford it but we like dreaming! We would be very sad if we didnt. who wants standard sensible cars anyway?
