The ET/offset is where the alloys attach to your hubs, not really sure on this, but say its et33 like yours, im guessing that means 33mm from the middle of the wheel. If its negative ET im guessin that will be bolting up closer to the inside of the wheel.

Somebody please reword that to make sense.

Yeah when I put the part numbers on google it says Corrado G60/Golf Rallye. I just dunno what all this ET33 n 6.5J is all about lol

The higher the et number the further inside the wheelarch the wheel will sit.

As above. Digby's ET33 alloys will sit further inside the arch than my ET24s. The ET24 will poke out further if that makes sense.

No worries I understand now, kinda.

In hindsight I should of googled it before posting lol

The tyres on the rear of the golf seem to be a lower profile than the fronts for some reason.
Might be because the rear is sitting lower than the front, I can barely put my fingers between the tyre and the arch on the rear  :undecided:

Yea mine's like that. At the mo, I can get my middle finger up to my second knuckle, but when I first got the car, I could get like...the tip of my finger under there lol.

Do you mean your car seems to have different profiles? The profile is stamped on the sidewall of the tyre
