take of whatever trim is in the way then get a wire brush or something similar and get back to bare metal then put some kurust treater on it, available from diy stores and chavfords, i did a couple of bits on the bottom of my doors with black paint stuff and it doesnt notice unless you look really hard. then if you can get at it from then inside do the same, then smother it in that wax waterproof stuff wyns make, i forget what its called, and you will be laughing!
