nah you just need a very sharp knife and a bit of patiance.
carefully run the knife around the back of the unit between the grey plastic and the black surrond plastic to seperate them. they should only be held together by a minimal amount of glue if the unit is the original.
once split change the bulb and stick the unit back together but dont use to much glue incase the bulb goes again. or you could do what i have and replace the bulb with a much more reliable LED and a resitor so the LED dont go pop and the the need to play with knive is greatly reduced
