May have struck the jackpot - above the traffic light there is a CCTV camera pointing down the lane i was in. Waiting on a chap to phone me back from the city CCTV dept. Fingers crossed it was pointing that way on the morning of the accident and that it is angled down enough to see what happened. It'll only be a 2 or 3 frames a sec camera but it should prove that he rammed me off the road if it was looking at us.

Fingers crossed for you

I had basically exactly the same thing happen to me last year in my mk3.

I wouldnt admit that it was my fault or 50/50. It eventually went that it was 50/50 but his side paid my excess. Which wasnt the end of the world.

Still annoying!

Something to remember if (touch wood) anything happens to anyone like this, "PHONE THE POLICE!" get a crime number and the attending officers name and you should never have any problems with anyone admitting liability, also most people have camera phones these days take photo's asap even if you have to ask a passer by! I know it's easy to say after the incident and when it's all happening theres that element of shock but try to keep calm.
Sorry to see the damage mate, Gutting! Fingers crossed for the camera bud and hope it all works out.
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

yeah ironically enough the same junction that i saw you on the road - just going the other way. Road down from Kanes Hill to Junction 7 roundabout over the M27. The guy i hit still on Friday had not reported it to his insurance co. He is hoping i wont claim for some reason - maybe thinking i was not insured, or worried his boss would get annoyed with him when he fessed up

My insurance co. have sent him a letter saying its his fault and he needs to report it!

Sorry to hear about this. Im guessing your gonna take her to Peter Cooper at Hedge end?

Ive had bodywork done by them in one of my old Mk5's before. The car will get sent down to Bognor Regis to their Paint shop. They

I live in Sholing and work in Hedge End.

Nah its gone to the approved body shop through the insurance company.

Not sure if that was the right thing to do......

I have had a few bad experiences with Peter Coopers recently although none of that was panel beating lol!!!

Totally taken by the courtest Mondeo i have got. It a pretty decent spec Titanium with all mod cons. I can see why Clarkson raves on about them. It is a bit of a family car though and i aint got the kids to go with it

Thornhill me

Which part of Peter Coopers dont you like, let me guess Service Deptment?. Ive had a disagreement with them over damage to my old Pescara alloys getting scuffed whilst the car was in their possesion.

Although they "finally" replaced the alloy FOC.

I know make them walk round the car before i hand the keys over.

Mines due for service in a fortnight, abit worried whether to chance my arm or go to an independant this time  :undecided:

Yup service department are not great. I have had some dodgy work done on it during a warenty repair.

I have heard good things about the Formula 1 in Hedge end (pretty much next door to KFC) I  have also used Tyre Shops when my 182 Clio left its 3 year warenty

After phoning around trying to find out who controls the CCTV camera on the traffic light, Godstone (highways Agency) finally found out who controls the camera and yes it is a CCTV camera. Great i thought until they said that the camera has not been working for the last 2 weeks!!!! GUTTED

coincided with the traffic light repair/upgrade work that finished around 2 weeks ago on the roundabout. Just my luck
