EBC Uprated brake pads and insurance?
« on: 03 February 2010, 16:56 »
Well i will be doing my rear discs & pads on my mk4 before summer and this question just popped into my head.

I'm looking at standard discs and EBC yellowstuff pads - do i have to declare the pads to the insurance? I'm thinking i probably do but just wanted to check as i like to declare everything but feel sometimes they might take the biscuit a bit and charge me extra for being too honest if you know what i mean?

Cheers,

Matt.

yes mate you would need to declare them, but to be honest with us they probably wouldn't even make a difference. Who you insured with at the mo??

orite

adrian flux own us as a company and we use the same system so you shouldn't have any problems with them, as long as your underwriter is someone who can take mods then you should be alrite. My advice would be to ring them and tell them you haven't done it yet but your planning to and you just want to see and they'll do you a quote with them on there

hope this helps

Danny

Yeah that makes sense, cheers mate! I'm assuming the underwriters accept mods as i'm on a modified car scheme with various things already declared lol!
