Can't believe you've not got the multifunction steering wheel, it is standard in the UK.  Mind you those led lights look good on the car and we don't get them as standard.

Thanks Gizzy.  Dark metallic colours look great on the GTI, don't they?  They are a pain to keep clean, though.  Especially here in dusty Dubai.  I can't think of another country where the MFSW does not come standard with the GTI.  I just assumed my car had it but (and I'm not kidding) I only noticed this when I set off from the dealer's parking lot.  I was pleasantly surprised to see the LED's, though, which sort of makes up for the lack of the MFSW.

  I can't think of another country where the MFSW does not come standard with the GTI.  I just assumed my car had it but (and I'm not kidding) I only noticed this when I set off from the dealer's parking lot. 

Thats because people in Dubai are not as lazy as other countries and they are still capable of lifting their arms up to reach for a button 6 inches away

Haha.. I don't know if I agree with that observation.   I may have been guilty of that as I loved them on my previous car.
