Shell's premium diesel
« on: 31 January 2010, 20:33 »
Hey guys, I need to fill my tractor up the other day & pulled up at the wrong pump (only had the high end diesel)

I though, s*d it, i'l give it ago & WOW it feels better than the normal shell diesel.  It feels more responsive & a bit quicker (mpg looks better too)

I have a Tdi 130 mk4 & it loves the stuff

let us know how much you get from the full tank as I'm getting around 450miles from the normal shell in the Golf, and around 550 from the Passat.

It was 119.9 last time I was @ Shell

It will be a bit of a placebo effect as it takes a few fill ups for the ECU to adjust to the different fuel.

Going on BP stuff that works out at about 71 quid a tank, 141 for 2! Na won't be doing that mistake again.

Mine's about £80~ (not bone dry ofc, for those that are pedantic) on normal diesel juice because it's a 70L tank

I always use the V-Power, i had a play with numbers a while back and for the same money you get about the same distance.

so you get less fuel but it'll take you the same distance.

on a tank you should get more but i've never actually done it......
a work in progress......someday i might think i'm happy with a car....maybe

so far: 40mm Gmax lowering kit, upper and lower S3 strut braces, pipercross panel filter, Smoothed air box and 18" Audi R8 reps
