Got a new project being a Gti Cab H plate with FSH,every old MOT, stickers in place and excellent nick but with a blown head gasket that I will put right

Alloys lacquer have peeled so I tried a spare set of Corrado BBS G60 alloys 33 offset i think, when the car was trolley jacked up the alloys seemed to be fouling the shock absorber.........do I need spacers to get these on and what would people suggest 10mm with standard bolts?

Also where is the best place to get the socket to attach to a torque wrench to undo the headbolts?
Planning on leaving the car pretty standard so would a ported and flowed head be worth it on its own? Guessing not unless an exhaust and filter are fitted?
