« on: 29 January 2010, 08:02 »
Hi.

There was some rumours \ posts late last year about changes to the 2010 Golf (keyless entry \ LED lights as an option \ also release of a new version of the RCD510 \ RSN510 (called the 520 lol?).

Anyone picked up anything?

Just to clear this up.
Cars delivered from ~June 2009 are model year 2010.
Cars delivered from ~June 2010 are model year 2011.
There is also normally a slight tiny tweek to the spec around Noverber each year. ~BW46
VW do not work on calander years when it comes to model years.

I ordered my ED30 in March 2007 and it arrived in June 2007 - a MY07 car.
If it'd been about 3 weeks later it would have been a MY08 car.

Its pretty annoying, but most of the stuff was pointless.  The Air Con button changed to Econ, the symbols on the wiper stalk changed a bit, and the stereo came with MP3 playback - which mine didn't!

I would bet keyless entry would be a cost option, as would LED rear lights.
A new RNS though?  Could be interesting!

You could wait forever buying a VW, as every 6 months they change something!
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.
