Save yourself a few quid and just clean the OEM one once in a while. It'll flow just as well as an aftemarket panel filter so long as it's kept nice and clean.
The only gains you'll notice on the road will come with a specific intake and a remap that 's been designed to work with it. In my humble opinion of course.
Oh, and a non OEM filter will bugger your warranty just as much as a re-map will. I'd rather spend £400-£500 on 40-50 bhp extra to bugger my warranty than £30-£50 for 2bhp and still bugger my warranty
