I am seeing alot of corrado clutch problems lately. Don't know if this really helps but there is a Tech Service Bullitan out on these. The TSB number is V30-93-04. May be of some help if you bring it up to the steellership. not sure though.

ok im gonna be honest ive never driven one! ive always been a bit bias and steered toward the golf mark 1&2 saying that i would buy a mk 3 vr6. but whats the appeal, for example whats the build quality like how do they drive do they break dwn often etc etc.... what the engines like do they use the same blocks as the golfs or do they use different ones if so which ones........
be kind im a corrado virgin :o

Richard Hammond (Of Top Gear and Braniac Fame) Did a review on a VR6 Corrado, as an up and coming classic. This review is famous among Corrado enthusiasts, as it really does show them in such a great light.
Often described as a Porsche-eater, a good exampole of a VR6 Storm (the fianl 500 produced) can fetch upto 10k. With mid-range acceleration times "faster than any Aston Martin", a 0-60 time of 6.7 seconds, 190BHP, and a top speed of more than double the speed limit, they really are a wolf in wolfs clothing!
The build quality on the later models are slightly better than that of earlier corrados, but this is to be expected, as all the minor faults are ironed out.
If you can get a test drive in one, I would thoroughly reccommend it, (but only if you have the money to buy one, as you will probably be converted)
The G60 should be treated the same as you would a Golf G60 as regarding servicing, but the VR6, (which, strangely, does NOT use the same VR6 engine as the Golf) is reported to be bullet proof!
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture
