everything should be declared now as insurance co's are getting wise to any non standard mod's... (blame he recession as company's aren't making as much money! and it's common knowledge about undeclared mod's...)

True, it's amazing what things you don't think of.

Even Halfords "Quick Response" bulbs should technically be declared, as they aren't OEM spec. LED bulbs, interior light changes, seats, carpets, badge colour, grills the lot. I suppose even non standard tyres should be declared.

Better safe then sorry. :)

t.b.h it depends on the type approval....(all will have ec  approval stamps on them and this is what an insurer could use!)
and with tyres if you had o.e spec vr rated tyres and fitted hr rated then yes you would need to declare them as they would be under the original vehicle type approval regulations

May put a future buyer off though. Your earlier idea of getting one from the scrappy is a good un. Keep the original for when/if you sell.
