Track Tyres and Road use

Whats the thoughts on using Toyo 888s or Yoko 032s ,specific track tyres , for everyday use ? sensible , stupid or lethal ?

Toyo T1Rs are good road tyres , and ill still have another set of tyres and wheels for specific track duties just wondering what benefits if any there might be

Peeled from one of my R888s prior to fitment:

Having driven with them on in heavy rain I don't recommend them for all weather road use.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Agree with DH. I had these on the Golf when I bought it and no other tyres. Pouring rain with standing water was terrifying.

Didn't know I should store them at half pressure though. Doh! Better dig them out of the cupboard and let some air out of them on my day off on Friday although they've been tucked away for months already so probably not much point doing it now.

Might hunt some T1Rs or Paradas

 for road abuse then

as well as the rain there is the problem of being pulled all over the road because of the stiff sidewalls

it also feels like you are wasting the tread on them driving slowly, although they are excellent for motorway slip roads!

Ha ha ha yeah I found that as well. Was giving a saxo a bit of a run for it's money and when we came up one of those really tight slipways I just kept it burried and came flying out towards the motorway with the saxo nowhere in sight.

I can recommend T1R's Stu, use them as my wet/daily tyres and they're very good.

I had them on my old Mondeo Taxi - Got some new ones off the back of a lorrey and tell you what even on that barge they were good at keeping it together , awesome fun with some T1Rs on the front and nankangs on the back
