Which 'chargers?
« on: 19 January 2010, 22:32 »
Been sniffing about for a supercharger for a mate and have been offered a couple of Merc units. One has part no. 307691, the other 206127. Think they're both basically Eatons but does anybody know which ones? M45? M62?

Cheers,

S.M.

Long shot but you could try a Merc dealer or maybe check to see if you can see any other numbers on it.

Right, been to the local Merc dealers and explained what I was up to. All credit to them for not kicking me straight out of their nice shiny showroom (although I had done them the great honour of temporarily raising the tone on their forecourt by parking my Mk.3 'Valver in amongst all the new Mercs ). Unfortunately though, they couldn't help. Merc part numbers are 10 digits long so the 'charger numbers aren't Merc. The plot thickens... without even needing to use cornflour!
