With a 4 pot brake you would need no more than a 5mm spacer!

My brakes have the biggest housing out of any other 6 pot brake on the market and i only needed a 6 mm spacer!

With a 4 pot you could easily get away with a 4mm spacer! Which........ means that they do not need to hubcentric spacers! as they recommend anything over 8mm to hubcentric, anything lower than that and your ok!

So a none hubcentric spacer kit for the front, would cost around £40

not expensive!!

I was told 15mm spacer as I have Anni wheels which unless you then space out the rear would look even dafter so it does become very expensive!

A lot of the expense comes down to what you have currently fitted in terms of wheels and brakes

At the end of the day, people can buy what they want? But i have bought 3 sets of brakes now! The 312 upgrade was nice, as it bit a little more! yet for the money, not worth it! And dont look good under a big wheel!

Where as 4 pots..... are affordable, can be done to a small budget, not hard to get hold of... and look cracking under a wheel!

Devilz..... if you want a very cheap brake upgrade, i would say buy them! But you will be dissappointed for the money you spend!

I would recommend do a 4pot conversion in stages! Buy the calipers, then the discs etc etc. That way you dont blow money all in one go! Up to you pal!

The 996 rear calipers - it might be a 5mm I not 100% sure; either way I personally don't like spacers so therefore didn't pursue it

Fair point, but spacers to a very small scale are not expensive and not a practical issue! They space is tiny!

it depend on what size wheels u got ,think it should be able to fit under 19s ... u will need the brakes lines and adaptors too

that you do but you can make some money back selling your old calipers 

You can either spend time hunting the parts down or buy complete kits - up to the individual

i will have a full set 312mm brake set up for sale soon callipers, carriers, ebc redstuff pads and ebc discs £250 all with less than 800 miles on!

sorry to hijack but will braided brake lines what are already on my mk4 fit a set of LCR brembo's?
