No doubt herecy on this Golf forum, but if I had to buy a brand new hatch of this ilk, I'd pick a Megane 250.

A nice blend of the ASBO-ness of the RS and the restraint of the GTI.

It's about £10k over my top budget, though!  :laugh:

Why didnt he test the GTD ? Its faster than a GTI

Last weeks Autocar tested the Renault and rated it as one of the best hot hatches on sale, I would never buy a Renault however.

A round of a applause for the video review........... All they could review was the look and interior styling of the car and perhaps the car's abilities at 20mph coz thats all they would manage with the weather conditions they done the test drives in.

Stupid review in my eyes from (as they mentioned) a reviewer who is biased towards Renault

If I had; a) £25k, and b) The choice was between only these three, yeah. Moot point though....

I think Auto Express put the Megane as their favourite hot hatch so far in the magazine last week - you know the 'top five' of each category?

factor on the amount of time it will spend back at the dealers too  :wink:

This is all irrelevant, chaps! I give my opinion for free though!  :tongue:

My budget is nearer half of £23k and TBH, bairns are likely to decrease that over the coming years  :cry:
