Hi All,

Currently finalising my preferred spec for an R - main problem is deciding what colour is best - thinking of Steel Grey. Anyone know of any, or got pics of one?

What's the current lead time for factory orders?

Just because I think that dsg is brilliant doesn't mean I dont do manuals if thats was the case I wouldn't of bought myself a manual gtd 4 months ago.

I am going to print off every stock golf r off dialog and post them on here tomoz. For people to read who can afford one

Thanks Evo, would appreciate a list of all 5 door cars.  I think it will have to be manual as I don't think that an auto would be cup of tea.  Not in a desperate rush so could wait a few weeks if unallocated cars are in the pipeline.

I know a dealer with a 5 door manual in Blue Graphite Pearl. No other options, I think. PM if interested.

Lead times depoend hugely on dealers. If they have allocation to order one then its pretty much 12 weeks from the point they can do so. Your first challenge is to find a dealer who can order one. Lee Cheltenham VW

Evo1986 thanks for the info. - looking for a 5dr silver gti, dgs, acc, leather, sensors with camera and 510. Anything else a bonus.

If I go new then I would like to add 18" wheels, xenons, dab, cruise, flat tyre ind. winter pack (need the heated washer jets for Scotland).
Drive the deal is looking like 11% off new, loads better than last time I checked.

Basically dealers cannot order specific cars for stock some of us are just lucky they landed with us all order forms for golf r and scirocco r have to be faxed accross to VW uk and then they place the order and give us the commission number providing we have allocation. I will ask Paul in admin if we have any allocation I know we have taken three orders so far and am sure not all three have officially been placed due to lack of allocation. We have had now gti or gtd allocation for 4 months!

So the dealers only have limited allocation then?

Haven't been to Cheltenham for a couple of years - might be a chance to revisit!
